Easter Holy Week for LDS Families (and Families of other Faiths!)

Hi!  It's been a long time since I've posted!  We've had a baby (boy) and are expecting another baby (girl) in August.  Very much like the pioneers-- just popping them out! :) Consequentially, I have let my blog life sit on the back burner until I feel a little more in control of the day to day activities of running a family and home.

However, it's Easter Week and that is my absolute favorite time of year!  I love the flowers, the fresh air, the animals emerging from their hide-outs, and I love the chance to think of all that God has done for me and my family and the world at large.  I just love this time of year.

We, as a family, try and incorporate the spiritual side of Easter (the last week of the mortal life of the Savior, Jesus Christ) in our holiday festivities and have been using this packet ("Easter Holy Week for LDS Families") of goodies that I compiled last year to do so.  I thought I'd share for others to make use of as well.

Easter Holy Week for LDS Families
Our fun and spiritual framework for family activities and devotionals during the Easter Holy Week!

It's organized, hopefully comprehensive, and tries to tie the commercial side of Easter with the spiritual and religious side of Easter.  It's written from an LDS/ Mormon perspective, in that there are references to religious text that people of LDS faith consider scripture; however, it is, of course, by and large biblically based.  If you are not LDS, feel free to adapt your use of it in a way that you feel comfortable with your family.

If you share, please have the consideration to reference this site/post as where it originated from.  And, as always, if you have questions or comments, please let me know!

Have a wonderful Easter week and enjoy!!

  1. I love all these ideas, and I've loved watching you and Nathan actually DO them with your family! Wish I would've had this insight when my children were little. Well done, and thanks for sharing!
